Square Dancing With Pennetta, Dulko, Azarenka and Kirilenko

Watching the women’s doubles championship between winners Flavia Pennetta and Gisela Dulko and the runners-up Maria Kirilenko and Victoria Azarenka I kept hearing a square dancing caller in my head. It went something like this:

Partners on court!
Get up to the net!
Now get on back!
And stay on back!
All play back!
Now lob over her head!
And lob again!
Don’t put it away!
It’s crosscourt time!
So hit it cross!
Now do it again!
And do it again!
And do it again!
And do it again!
Now flip that braid!
And slap your thigh!
All slap thighs!
Lob it again!
Lob it high!
It’s tantrum time!
So pout in the corner!
And pout to your partner!
It’s I formation time!
So crouch down low!
We don’t know why!
So try it again!

I’ve never been a square dance caller so I’m unsure how it would end. Congrats to Pennetta and Dulko.
